Earthlust’s GreenMarch Campaign To Focus on Environmental Justice

This year, Earthlust’s GreenMarch annual campaign seeks to demonstrate the intersections between environmental issues and other social justice movements. Planned events include a protest against the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at its Philadelphia office, a panel of state representative candidates discussing the impact of local trash being incinerated in Chester, and weekly film screenings and lectures.

SusCom and Student Activists Meet to Coordinate Efforts, Work out Differences

The first joint meeting of the Sustainability Committee and campus environmental activists opened last Monday, as student environmental organizations worked to patch over differences with the Committee and discuss ways to coordinate future sustainability efforts on campus. The meeting came at a moment of tension between student environmental groups and the Sustainability Committee, less than two weeks after members of Earthlust wrote a letter to President Chopp.
