SOCIAL CHANGE PHILANTHROPY PANEL
Tuesday, February 17, 2009
4:30 PM, Kohlberg 226
The decline in government support for mission-driven and educational endeavors over the last 30 years has indelibly altered the structure of financing non-profit organizations. While philanthropy has long been viewed as province of the wealthy (and in large part, still is), these structural changes have required activists, artists and others concerned with social change (rather than simply social services) the need to acquire creative fund raising skills, which in turn have produced alternatives as to how to frame and carry out philanthropic endeavors. If you care about social change, learn how can translate your values for positive social change into skills, careers, and resources in service of social justice.

13. CALL FOR EDITORS – SWARTHMORE LITERARY REVIEW
Are you interested in working for the Swarthmore Literary Review this semester? We publish poets both from on campus and from the greater international writing community. We would love for you to help us make selections, host readings, and expand our magazine.
All interested students should write no more than 300 words answering the following question: Why do I want to be an editor? Make sure to include your poetic influences and academic interests. It also helps to send a resume.
Applications are due 11:59 pm. Wednesday, February 25 to literaryreview@swarthmore.edu. Questions are more than welcome.
The Swarthmore Literary Review seeks to create a student directed venue for the work of talented Swarthmore and at-large writers. In doing so, the editors hope to foster an exchange between Swarthmore College and the greater international writing community. Over time, we aspire to expand readership, humbly hoping to foster a love of the arts throughout literary circles on our own campus and abroad.
