1. Abbott '10 Wins Scavenger Hunt
James Abbott ‘10 was awarded a $100 cash prize for successfully answering the Pileated Woodpecker question during last week’s scavenger hunt. Abbot, a sociology major, thought the scavenger hunt was a good way to promote information literacy awareness. “I would not have actually read the Presidential Proclamation had there been no scavenger hunt.” Congratulations!

7. Enjoy painting? Computers? Sign up for Saturdays of Service's upcoming project on Nov. 7th!
Sign up for Saturdays of Service’s project next weekend at the NTR Thrift Store in Philly! If you haven’t heard about this organization, they basically take used computers and other tech equipment, refurbish them, and make them available at lesser cost to low-income Philly residents or others who may not otherwise have access. They also run a lot of computer classes and other programs for the local community.
For our project, we won’t be working directly with the computers, but you will have an opportunity to learn more about what they do if you’re interested in getting involved. Essentially, the Thrift Store has some storage space that’s in pretty bad shape and they need us to come in and help fix it up, do some painting etc. It should be a lot of fun and very worthwhile!
We’ll be leaving at 9:30 am and returning at 1:30. Breakfast provided!
Sign up now as there’s limited space available! (email rjudson1)

13. Need an LSAT Tutor?
If you’re taking the December or February LSAT and want some extra help, tips, or tricks, shoot me an email. I will make you literally love the games section, and hopefully allow you to feel at least lukewarm towards logical reasoning and reading comp. I’m broke and I know the test so let’s create some symbiosis. Willing to negotiate on pay.
