1. Super Tuesday
Super Tuesday! Come out to Mephisto's starting at 8 p.m. on February 5. We'll be watching results from all 24 primary and caucus states with cake, soda, and lots of other goodies. Co-sponsored by College Democrats and College Republicans. All are welcome. For more information, please contact Molly Weston (mweston1) or Justin Shaffer (jshaffe1).

The event is SAC funded.

Whither the Cuban Revolution? A Talk by Historian Barry Carr

Wednesday, February 6, 2008 4:30 P.M. Scheuer Room, Kohlberg Hall

- The end of the Bush era is close. Fidel Castro is seriously ill.
– Latin America seems to be moving towards the Left.
– Where is Cuba going two decades after the end of the Cold War?

The distinguished Australian historian Barry Carr (La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia) is an expert on Cuban and Mexican labor, and the history of communism and popular movements in Latin America.

Where: Admissions Office

Juniors who are going abroad in the spring and are interested in being an Admissions Fellow as a senior can email Justin Holmes at jholmes1 for an application. The position is paid and mainly entails interviewing prospective students. It’s a lot of fun and is a way for you to help build the next class of Swatties! Completed applications should be returned to the Admissions Office by 4:30 pm on Friday, November 13th. If you have any questions, please contact Justin Holmes at jholmes1.

2. Economic Experiment Participant

Hours: 1.5

When: Nov. 7-15; ongoing

Where: Trotter 201

Interested in earning some extra money and learning about human decision making?! Sign up for economic experiments at:
http://econlab.swarthmore.edu/public/

After you sign up, we'll invite you to participate in experiments. These will occur in the convenience of Trotter, and there's no commitment just from signing up, but you can't participate unless you have. Experiments are approved by the IRB and your confidentiality is protected.

3. Paces Shopper

Hours: 3-6 hours/week

When: Weekends

This position requires access to a car.

Perform the weekly shopping for Paces cafe. Regular access to car required.

4. Babysitter Oct 17

Where: My home about 2 mi from campus

I'm new in the area, a single dad every weekend, and need an occasional babysitter. First need: this Saturday, Oct. 17, about 9PM-1AM in my home about 2 miles from campus. I can provide transport if you need it.

5. Van Driver

Pay:$20

Hours: 2-4 PM

When: Oct. 24th

Where: Swat

Swarthmore Squash is looking for someone VAN CERTIFIED to drive a fan van to the Springfield Healthplex (just past the mall) on Saturday, Oct. 24th from about 2PM-4PM.

It's a 5 min drive (with lights) and you are just dropping people off and bringing them back to campus. It is probably no more than 3 trips. There is a flat rate of $20.
