Power Shift Conference Energizes Earthlust
31 Swarthmore students (and 16 high schoolers from Chester) were among 12,000 to attend Power Shift 2009, a youth conference setting the agenda for the environmental justice movement.

The Weather

Today: Chance Rain Showers. High of 54.

I ordered my first legal drink at a restaurant last week.

Tonight: Mostly Clear. Low of 39.

The youngish waiter had sheepishly said "I hate doing this, but can I see your ID?"

Tomorrow: Partly Cloudy. High of 62.

Little did he know that it was the most exciting thing I was going to do over all of break.

Lunch: Soups:potato florentine*new, minimalist miso(v)*new, Entrees:fried shrimp,skin on fries, bbq seitan(v),bean& cheese burrito, spinach, asparagus stir fry, bagel bar(vegan option), krispy treats

Dinner: baked or fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, jerk tofu(v), seven bean stew(v),whole green beans, sauteed fresh greens,taco bar,corn bread, apple crisp(v)
