A Word from the Gazette ...

Midterms and papers weigh down pretty heavily on most Swarthmore students this time of year. But the end is in sight, with the promise of at least nine days without class — if not without work — just around the corner. The Gazette wants to wish students the best of luck on the assignments that remain, and to gently ask those parents who are reading to be understanding when their children come home and don't want to do anything but sleep for a week. After October break, the Gazette has some exciting new things lined up for our readers, including, with any luck, a brand-new website. Meanwhile, enjoy today's issue and tomorrow's (which will be bigger), and don't stress out too much!

Mairin Din's Condition Improving
