Oktoberfest at the Swarthmore Community Center will be held this Saturday, October 6th from 7pm-midnight. A great chance to sample various German beers and foods while doing your part to support education.
The event will be sponsored by the Universal Hope Initiative, www.universalhopeinitiative.com, a new non-profit organization in the Philadelphia area. Proceeds from the event will allow 10 children in the Buduburum Refugee Camp in Ghana the opportunity to enter secondary school.
Tickets are $30 ($35 at the door) or $15 for non-drinkers, and are on sale through Tami Gura in the Biology Dept. Email: tgura1@swarthmore.edu.
