Staff Positions

Editor-in-Chief: Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Gazette, oversight, staff-assignments, communications with readers and administration, and policy decisions.

News Editor: Responsible for finding and assigning news stories, as well as overseeing reporters working on news articles.

Arts Editor: Responsible for finding and assigning arts and living stories, as well as overseeing reporters working on living and arts articles.

Editor-on-Leave: Editors who are not at Swarthmore during the present term [on-leave or abroad].

Photography Editor: Responsible for overseeing staff photographers, managing photographs for articles, and selecting the picture of the day.

Internet Advertising Director: Responsible for soliciting advertising for the Gazette website and managing sales. This includes researching search engine optimization, acting as liaison to services like Google AdSense, and suggesting optimization to the Technology Director.

Technology Director: Responsible for managing the Gazette website, updating the archives, and ensuring the site does not break.
