There has been no shortage of articles written on the changes to the alcohol policy in these past few weeks. Since we received Dean Liliana Rodriguez’s now infamous email over the summer, no one can stop talking about the change in alcohol policies on campus. While these changes are serious and do warrant criticism, at least we can all have a few laughs at this particular violation:
use of paraphernalia such as funnels, keg stands, “around-the-world” parties, flip cup, quarters, beer pong, Beirut, power hour, and other alcohol consumption based on speed and/or volume, etc.
In honor of this new policy, Swat Visually has asked the student body to share their most creative drinking paraphernalia, as well as how many times they have used the infamous, dangerous, and “irresponsible” beer funnel. The results? Totally unsurprising:
If you were one of the 40 Swatties to respond with cup or shot glass, please check out the following vessels used by your classmates for some creative inspiration:
Flavor-ice popsicle sleeve
Organic sauerkraut jar
Professors’ mug from the CS kitchen
For next week’s column, Swat Visually is asking you to share your pump up, get work done jam. Submit the song title and artist here, and look out for a Surviving Swat playlist to come out next week!
