Swat 7: StuCo Doesn’t Want Transparency, Except When It Does

By
April 23, 2014

Inspired by heroes such as Jon Stewart, the Smothers Brothers, and grumpy cat, every two weeks Swat 7 (Swarthmore’s finest biweekly news-satire show) will bring you questionable facts, unreliable analysis, and full-team coverage of what your drunk roommate said last night — all in just about 7 minutes.

I’m disappointed in the quality of Swat7′s videos. This is not funny! It bops between sarcastic and downright mean, but it’s not funny. And when you try so hard to be, it just becomes painful to watch. Jon Stewart would be ashamed.

Sometimes you gotta be snarky and mean to provoke and get at the truth. If the facts are there (unlike the Phoenix) then keep at it!

Not like Swat7 should really care what its peers think –– you gotta do you kids — but as an alumnus procrastinating other things checking back on her alma mater, I think this is pretty funny.
