Weekend Sports Recap – September 13-15

Men’s Soccer:

The Men’s Soccer team defeated Nazareth College in Rochester, New York by a score of 3 to 1 this Sunday, September 15th. After Nazareth took an early lead, the Garnet fought back to score three unanswered goals from Jack Momeyer, Devon Baughen, and Wyatt McCall. The Garnet are set to take on Richard Stockton College at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18th at Clothier Field.

 Women’s Volleyball:

The Women’s Volleyball team finished third in the Garnet Classic this weekend, defeating Hamilton College twice (3-1, 3-0) but suffering losses against Vassar (1-3) and Stevenson (1-3). The Garnet were led by sophomore setter Sam DuBois, who earned all tournament honors with two double-doubles. The Garnet is set to take on Rowan University at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 17th at Tarble Pavilion.

The Women’s Soccer team suffered their second defeat of the season, giving up two first half goals to Centennial Conference rivals Franklin & Marshall before senior Megan Brock tallied one late in the game, leaving the scoreline with a 2-1 finish. The Garnet will look to bounce back with another Centennial Conference game on Wednesday, September 18th at 7:30 PM, when they take on Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.

Women’s Field Hockey:

Aarti Rao netted a pair of goals for the Garnet on Friday to lead the Women’s Field Hockey team past Immaculata College, 2-0. The Garnet improved to 2-4 on the season, as goalkeeper Gabrielle Capone posted her first shut out of the year. The Garnet will take on Franklin & Marshall at Clothier Field on Wednesday, September 18th at 4:00 PM.
