Location: Mertz Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report of an injured female resident student at Mertz Residence Hall. Public Safety responded and transported the student to the hospital.

Status: Cleared

 

Fire

Date: Tuesday, May 21

Time: 8:00 p.m

Location: Crum Meadow

Synopsis: While on patrol, Public Safety reported an odor of smoke coming from Crum Meadow. Upon investigation, Public Safety found the smoldering remains of an unauthorized fire in the bonfire pit. An area check was conducted and no one was in the area.

Status: Cleared

 

Assist to other Police Department

Date: Wednesday, May 22

Time: 2:01 a.m

Location: Fieldhouse Lane

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the request from Swarthmore Police Department for assistance with a traffic stop. When the vehicle was stopped the driver was a male resident Swarthmore student. The driver received a citation.

Fraud

 Date: Wednesday, May 22

Time: 11:40 a.m

Location: Clothier Hall

Synopsis: Information received from an off campus bank reporting fraudulent debit transactions at Clothier Bookstore. Bookstore manger contacted. This matter is under investigation.

Fire Alarm

Date: Wednesday, May 22

Time: 12:27 p.m

Location: Dana Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety and Maintenance responded to a fire alarm within Dana Residence Hall. There was no sign of fire or smoke. Panel was reset.

Status: Cleared

 

Fire Alarm

Date: Wednesday, May 22

Time: 1:05 p.m

Location: Sharples Dining Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Sharples Dining Hall. Upon investigation, it was determined the alarm was activated by activity in the Dining Hall. Maintenance responded and set alarm.

Disturbance

Date: Thursday, May 23

Time: 12:50 a.m

Location: Wharton Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to the report of a disturbance between a male and female resident student in Wharton Residence Hall. Upon arrival, the incident had ceased and all individuals were identified.

Status: Dean’s Referral

 

Fire Alarm

Date: Thursday, May 23

Time: 2:29 p.m

Location: Worth Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety responded to a fire alarm within Worth Residence Hall. It was determined that the detector was activated because water was leaking on to the device. Maintenance was notified.

Location: Wharton Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from a female resident student about an unauthorized student in Wharton Residence Hall. Matter under investigation.

Location: Palmer Residence Hall

Synopsis: Public Safety received a fire alarm within Palmer Residence Hall. There was no sign of smoke or fire. Alarm was reset. Maintenance was notified.

Burglary

Date: Sunday, May 26

Time: 11:22 p.m

Location: Science Center

Synopsis: Public Safety received a report from students about a robbery in the Science Center Coffee Bar. Value unknown at this time. Matter under investigation.

Status: Investigation

 

Fire Alarm

Date: Monday, May 27

Time: 2:06 a.m

Location: Bond Lodges

Synopsis: A female resident student reported a fire alarm within Bond Lodges. Public Safety reported the alarm was due to cooking. There was no sign of smoke or fire.

Status: Cleared
