Friday Storytime: Rachel Flaherman ’16 and Maureen Flaherman Tell a Serendipitous Story

Rachel and Maureen’s story – click to listen

Welcome to the second installment of Friday Storytime! This weekly feature showcases student voices, each sharing a brief, personal story in audio form. In today’s world, taking a few minutes to truly listen and be present is difficult but important. Storytelling is a valuable way to connect, learn, and feel.

Above is a link to a story told by Rachel Flaherman ’16 and her 16 year-old sister Maureen, who is visiting Swarthmore this week. The buying of a raffle ticket leads to an unexpected conclusion. Even the Mayor of San Francisco  had trouble believing it.

If you have a 4 to 5 minute-long story you would like to share, please email aholtzm1@swarthmore.edu to set up a recording time. This month’s theme is Serendipity.
