Tear Gas: Made in the US, used in Bahrain

Tear gas has been among the most reported crowd dispersal methods used by police in Bahrain – and across the Arab revolutions – since protests began in February 2011. But where does all of this tear gas come from? Here’s a quick attempt to trace one iconic canister back to its source.
