On Friday, Damask Press celebrated the release of Jacob Russell’s new chapbook Chronic, Chronos, Kairos. Damask is an independent press co-founded and staffed by Toby Altman ’10 and Liana Katz ’10, avid readers and writers with a shared love of the city of Damascus. The press produces handmade chapbooks and broadsides in small batches.
Chronic, Chronos, Kairos is the second chapbook released by Damask Press. It contains five poems by Jacob Russell from his expansive, multi-volume work Poem to the End of My Days and drawings by Becket Flannery printed on a series of unbound cards. The chapbook is printed in an edition of 100 using a Vandercook Universal I press.
In addition to Russell, two other poets were featured at Friday’s release party: Ryan Eckes, author of Old News and when i come here, and Paul Siegell, author of wild life rifle fire jambandbootleg, and Poemergency Room. All three writers read from their works.
