Swarthmore Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Sponsors Food Drive

The Swarthmore Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is sponsoring a canned food and monetary donation collection for the Bernardine Center in Chester, Pa. through Thursday, December 15.

Collection boxes for non-perishable food items are located in various places around campus. There is also a money collection box at Sharples during meal times throughout the drive.

The Bernadine Center provides a helping hand to low-income Chester-area residents by distributing  emergency or supplemental food and supplies.

    Hello.

I love the idea of a food drive. Would you consider putting food collection boxes out at the coffee bars and snack bar(you ma have done this already). Also send out a faculty-staff email for those who do not receive the Gazette so we can contribute.

This is great! To help your food drive, you may want to also consider hosting your food drive online via this company called YouGiveGoods. Conducting your Food Drive online will enable you to reach a broader audience and you can direct people to it through your own social/social media avenues. The site does everything for you! If you have people who wish to donate food items to your drive, they can do it right there (purchase the food items online through your Online Food Drive) and when the drive is over, the food will be hand delivered to your designated food pantry.

If you want to check it out, go to: YouGiveGoods.com

      Good luck!!
