Retraction: “Chester Upland School of the Arts Faces Challenging New Year”

On September 14th, The Daily Gazette published an article titled “Chester Upland School of the Arts Faces Challenging New Year.” Although the numbers, statistics, and quotes in the article were all correct, much of the piece was misleading because of an apparent miscommunication between our reporter and her source about the status of the magnet school. When The Gazette discovered this error, we retracted the article so as to eliminate any confusion about the status of CUSA. We felt this was the responsible thing to do in this rare situation. For more information about the challenges facing CUSA, and the action being taken by The Chester Fund to create a charter school, please visit TCF’s official website at TheChesterFund.org.
