To the Swarthmore Campus Community:

To the Swarthmore campus community:

As leaders of the Swarthmore College Jewish community, we were saddened by the recent acts of hatred directed toward a Palestinian student on our campus. We strongly condemn this racial and political prejudice. As members of a community that has historically been the target of similar hateful messages, we stand in solidarity and support with the student who was targeted. We were glad to see the swift response of the students and administration, and we hope the perpetrator will stop this bigotry and embrace the spirit of respectful dialogue that we value at Swarthmore.

Sincerely,

Ben Hopkins (Tzedek- Social Justice) Jessa Deutsch Josh Sokol (Jewish A Capella) Nat Sufrin (Kef- Social Group) Liana Katz (Ruach) Asher Sered Mollie Barnard (Ruach) Louis Rosenberg (Swarthmore Organization for Israel) Noah Marks (Minyan Chavaya) Esther Burson (Rosh Chodesh Women's Group) Xander Warso (Kosher Kitchen Co-op) Rabbi Helen Plotkin (Beit Midrash) Rabbi Eli Gurevitz (Chabad on Campus) Jake Rubin (Jewish Student Advisor)
