Baseball: Garnet Hunt Down Cougars Swarthmore (10-21) second baseman Kevin Kooi '09 went 3-for-3 with two RBIs in the 9-7 win over Misericordia (14-23-1) on a chilly Sunday afternoon at the Clothier Fields. Senior left fielder Scott Dalane led the Garnet at the plate going 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs while classmate Travis Allen '08 went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Women's Tennis: Blue Jays Defend Title Second seed Swarthmore (12-6) fell to top seed #21 Johns Hopkins (15-3) in the 2008 Women's Tennis Centennial Conference Championships with a final score of 5-3 on Sunday afternoon at the Cross Keys Athletic Club. For the second year in a row the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays defeated the Garnet in the Championship for their second Conference title. Garnet wins came from Luann Cignavitch '11, Erica Lukoski '08, Jennis Park '08 and Rachel Wallwork '10.

The Ad Hoc Financial Planning Group has been tasked with finding $8 million to cut from the annual budget. They have come up with a proposal for $6.85 million worth of cuts, and are currently seeking feedback from the community on their plan.
