SOFTBALL: Golden Garnet Offense Riled Up in Reading Swarthmore infielder Katherine Gold '08 had three hits and drove in three runs while sophomore hurler Kathryn Riley tossed a one-hitter as the Garnet swept both ends of a doubleheader from Penn State-Berks by scores of 5-3 and 16-0 Saturday afternoon at Hintz Athletic Field.
BADMINTON: Garnet Duo Flutter to Semifinals Over 15 schools from across the country descended upon Delaware (PA) County just outside Philadelphia for the 2008 National Collegiate Badminton Championships.
MEN'S LACROSSE: Devils Up-End Garnet The visiting Red Devils (6-1, 1-0 CC) scored three unanswered goals in the fourth period as Dickinson men's lacrosse came from behind to defeat Swarthmore 7-5 on Saturday afternoon on Clothier Field.
WOMEN'S LACROSSE: #3 Bullets Defeat Swarthmore Women Swarthmore freshman Amy Vachal scored two goals to run her team lead to 23 on the season as the Garnet (4-4, 0-1 CC) dropped a 21-3 decision to third-ranked Gettysburg Saturday afternoon in central Pennsylvania.
MEN'S TENNIS: Swarthmore Stays Perfect in Centennial The Garnet men's tennis team moved to 3-0 in the Centennial by battling past a game Dickinson squad, 7-2, Saturday afternoon in the Michael Mullan Tennis Center.
