Garnet Collect Centennial Win in Overtime The Swarthmore women's basketball team (6-13, 3-10 CC) finished strong in their 68-62 overtime win against Bryn Mawr (4-15, 1-11 CC) during the Centennial match-up on Tuesday evening in Tarble Pavilion.

Robinson Named to D3Hoops.com All-Decade Team Former Swarthmore guard Katie Robinson '04 was recently named to the D3hoops.com All-Decade Team. Robinson was selected fourth-team, as compiled by staff from the D3hoops.com All-America teams.

McCormick Honored by Philadelphia-Area Small College Coaches Swarthmore center Ian McCormick '08 was named Sam Cozen Player of the Week by the Philadelphia-Area Small College Coaches Association.

October 30th, 1929- The Day a Cow Entered Parrish

In the wake of Halloween, I think it’s appropriate to celebrate the 80th anniversary of one of the more wonderful pranks ever pulled at Swarthmore: the Cow Episode. On December 4, 1929, the editor of the Phoenix received a letter from the owner of Crumwald, a nearby farm with some loose connections to the college.
