Scoreboard Swimming Men - Second at CC Championships Swimming Women - Second at CC Championships

SWIMMING: Two Records Fall, Garnet Churn Second at CC Championships The Swarthmore swim teams got off to a flying start at the 2008 Centennial Conference Swim Championships, breaking two school records in the Kunkel Aquatic Center Friday night. Both Garnet squads sit in second place after the first day of competition-the Swarthmore women totaled 205.5 points (Gettysburg leads with 277 points) while the Swarthmore men collected 190.5 points, sitting right behind first-day leader Franklin & Marshall with 261 points. Junior Doug Gilchrist--Scott broke the school record in the 50 freestyle while picking up a gold and two bronze medals. Anne Miller '10 also broke a record (the 500 freestyle), collecting three medals for the Garnet women.
