Softball bows out of playoffs

After an opening 5-1 loss to third-seeded Gettysburg, the softball team came back in the Centennial Conference double-elimination tournament to beat Dickinson 6-2 on Saturday in order to stay alive in the playoffs. Yet just as last year, the top-seeded Ursinus Bears knocked the Garnet out of the playoffs by defeating Swat on Sunday morning by the horrifyingly close score of 1-0. The Garnet are now eligible for the ECAC Tournament and with the talent they've exhibited in the past two years, will surely be in the hunt for revenge next year in the Centennial Conference.

The 8 Million Dollar Question

The Ad Hoc Financial Planning Group has been tasked with finding $8 million to cut from the annual budget. They have come up with a proposal for $6.85 million worth of cuts, and are currently seeking feedback from the community on their plan.
