Weekend Roundup: Art Garfunkel, chocolate, and All's Well

Week eleven of the semester and only about a month left to go (but who's counting?) As always, remember to take a little time off on the weekend and enjoy yourself before you start thinking about a thesis for those final papers.

On Saturday night, none other than Art Garfunkel will be performing at the Kimmel Center (a "Kimmel Center presents" performance; tickets are sold at discounted prices as low as ten dollars). Another great choice for early spring is a brisk walk along the parkway to visit the Rodin Museum, lovely both for its collection of intensely crafted figurative sculpture and its sun-dappled, tree lined architecture.

You can also take advantage of "First Fridays" in Old City by visiting the galleries in Old City (the neighborhood around Third and Arch through Third and Race) which are free and open to the public from five to nine in the evening on the first Friday of every month. While you're in Old City, stop by Franklin Square (Sixth and Race) to try your hand at a little mini-golf or ride the carousel.

In honor of the recently founded nudist club, consider checking our the Naked Chocolate Cafe (on Walnut Street about four blocks east of Rittenhouse Square). Ideal for those interested in indulging, breaking a Lenten Fast, or simply sampling sweets, you can try all kinds of chocolate delights including blueberry, pomegranate, and hazelnut truffles.

Finally, don't miss the Shakespeare's "All's Well That Ends Well" (playing in Frear Ensemble Theater on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m.), the story of the lengths to which the love-stricken Helen will go to get the man she loves.
