What's Wrong With the Bells?

We get this question about once a month, just like clockwork. Unless you see a pterodactyl flying into the bell tower or they start playing the national anthem, you can consider this the final word on bells.

When something is wrong with the bells, according to Director of Facilities Stu Hain, the majority of the time "the bell mechanism [is] out of adjustment."

During the bells' latest temperamental fit, there was one extra problem, says Hain: "now all we need to do is reset the clock to EST as it is still on DST."
