MEN'S SOCCER: Ladule Chills Off 9 Diplomats

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Garnet junior Ladule Lako Lo Sarah continued his offensive surge Saturday night, sending hometown Swarthmore to a 1-0 overtime upset victory over ninth-ranked Franklin & Marshall. Lo Sarah’s fourth game-winner of the season handed the Diplomats’ their first loss of the season and improved Swarthmore’s record to 8-2-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the Centennial on a brisk Saturday evening at Clothier Field.

WOMEN'S SOCCER: Peterson, 24 Garnet Press Past Mustangs

STEVENSON, Mary. - Swarthmore freshman Kirsten Peterson had a goal and an assist as the 24th-ranked Garnet women's soccer team defeated Villa Julie 3-1 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon. Fellow first-years Megan Colombo and Kelsey Cline each tallied goals as Swarthmore reached double-digits for vicotries in a season for the fourth time in school history.

CROSS COUNTRY: Swarthmore Runners Span the East Coast

BETHLEHEM, Pa. / WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Erik Saka '09 and Ross Weller finished ninth and tenth, respectively, to lead the Garnet men's cross country team to a third-place finish at the DeSales Invitational while nearly 300 miles northeast, Emma Stanley '09 and Nyika Corbett ran ninth and tenth, resepectively, to help the Garnet women rank fourth at the 2007 Seven Sisters Championship at Wellesley College. Stanley was named All-Tournament at Seven Sisters for the third consecutive year.

VOLLEYBALL: Bullets Knock Down Garnet

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Senior captain Katherine Gold registered a season-high 17 digs, yet the hometown Gettysburg Bullets prevailed over Swarthmore 3-0 in Centennial Conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon. The Bullets (15-10, 5-2 CC) slide into fourth place in the Centennial standings while the Garnet slip to 8-14 overall and 3-4 in the Conference. The game scores were 30-7, 30-17, and 30-27.
