Editor's note

Dear Readers,

We at the Daily Gazette hope that you have enjoyed the first week of publication and would like to welcome those of you who are new subscribers. I am aware that about half of you received the Gazette in the afternoon yesterday instead of in the morning as usual, and I would like to apologize for the glitch in our mailing service.

I would also like to remind you about your opportunity to "Ask the Gazette;" if there is something related to Swarthmore that you are curious about, contact us, and we will do our best to find out for you.

We are always looking for photo submissions for our Photo of the Day feature. If you have taken any pictures and would like us to consider using them as the Photo of the Day, please send them to mskorpe1.

In addition we are happy to print announcements for students, faculty, and staff, but we would like to remind you to include the relevant date, time, and place as well as some other kind of content that would not be inferred from one of our regular campus events listings. We will print a given announcement only once and reserve the right to modify these if necessary.

We have several positions open this semester for reporters (for news, arts, and sports), photographers, and more. If you are interested in joining our staff, please feel free to contact us.

Finally, as always, we welcome your feedback. We hope that you continue to follow the Gazette in the weeks to come.
