What happened to the soft yogurt machine?

The Daily Gazette is proud to unveil a new feature: Ask the Gazette. Have a question about something happening on campus? Send an email our way, and we'll find out for you!

The soft serve yogurt machine will not be making a return, at least in its current form. According to Dining Services' Linda McDougall, the machine led to $2300 in repair costs over a 6-month period. Additionally, "because of the seasonal heat in Sharples, we had to be cautious of bacteria levels and did not want to risk this," she said.

Dining Services continues to look for a new yogurt machine with a good warranty, but in the meantime, yogurt aficionados can get their fix from the ice cream boxes.
