Hairy annual tradition at Swat marks its end

"Moustache November," a tradition started by a student during the Bush-Kerry election year has become one of Swat's funky annual traditions. The premise revolves around growing a moustache for the whole month of November and ending the month with a shave-off gathering. This year's shave-off, like last year's, was held at the Parrish porch at midnight, just as November ended, a growing tradition that poses a problem to those who want to look their finest at family gatherings during Thanksgiving. On the other hand, maybe Moustache November allows Swat's students to discover a new angle of their beauty.

This past Saturday marked the opening of “... one of the most-anticipated restaurant openings in the area”: Aria Mediterranean Cuisine, owned by Azim Naderpoor, opened for business.
