Boy Meets Tractor will perform this Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in Science Center 101. You have seen the hilarious signs plastered around campus. You have done double takes, duped into thinking the Swat “bubble” has sheltered you from the news of Jeff Foxworthy’s death, as one poster proposes. Now come and witness the creative and talented group that managed to find that horribly embarrassing photograph of your mother dancing in her favorite reclining chair.
Boy Meets Tractor, Swat’s only sketch comedy group, performs skits much like Saturday Night Live. Created six years ago, the production involves collaborative video and live portions. Due to graduation and study abroad, only two members of BMT return this year. The ten member group includes one senior, one junior, and eight underclassmen. Although it has been a rebuilding year, Madalyn Baldanzi ’08 ensures that quality has not been sacrificed.
“In my eyes, if we do our job, you’ll have a good time. On the other hand, if it’s awful you can laugh at us, and you’ll still have a good time. I don’t know how many people can offer you that sort of guarantee,” she says.
So take a much needed study break, round up your herd, and head on down to the Boy Meets Tractor show for a guaranteed good time!
