It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No…it’s Earthlust! Do not be alarmed if you see a costumed person around the halls of your dorm, they are just earthlusters come to show Swatties how to be a little more conscious of the environment. Today and Wednesday Earthlust will be doing Storm the Dorms, an event which involves costumes, Teddy Grahams, and of course tips on how to lead a more environmentally friendly life.
Members of Earthlust will be circulating about each dorm, focusing particularly on first years. The kinds of things they will be talking about include recycling, turning off computers that are not in use, (let’s face it, we have all unnecessarily left our computers on for a day) and other handy tips. For those students that are motivated only by food, they will also be handing out Teddy Grahams and other treats. And of course, they will be in costume.
“Storm the Dorms” is an awesome way for Swatties to learn how to help the environment day to day. And according to the group, the little things eventually really do add up.
